Digital Photography Workflow - Creating Web Images

When creating images to post to your blog, certain parameters need to be followed.

1.) after you have finished all of your edits and retouching, save the file as a Photoshop document (PSD) in the appropriate folder - this allows you to return to this image in the future for any additional edits

2.) using Adobe Bridge, open your PSD folder, select the PSD images you'd like to post to your blog, go to Tools, pull down to Photoshop and across to Image Processor and a new window will pop up

3.) in Section 1, make sure that the correct number of files are showing - you can resize and save several images for the web at once

4.) in Section 2, choose either Save in Same Location or click Select Folder
a.) Save in Same Location creates a new folder titled JPEG in your PSD folder
b.) Select Folder allows you to choose the specific folder where, again, a new folder titled JPEG will be created

5.) in Section 3, select the following:
     a.) click Save as JPEG
     b.) click Resize to Fit
     c.) set Quality to 12
d.) type 1080 and 1080 in BOTH W. and H. (width and height)
e.) click Convert Profile to sRGB
f.) click Run in the upper right hand corner and Photoshop will create web-safe JPEG copies of your files in sRGB at 1080 pixels per inch on the longest side which you can post on your blog
